Care Begins With Your Concern
Josh Reed, LPCC-S, works with Christian men age 18 and up and couples. Men serving as pastors and ministry leaders can bring burnout, compassion fatigue, and leadership pressure. Counseling addresses emotional, relational, behavioral, and spiritual concerns with practical tools and honest conversations about responsibility.
Your search may begin with anxiety, marriage conflict, a compulsive pattern, grief, or questions about identity. The area pages explain appointment options and link to counseling services, without assuming that your location determines what you are experiencing.

Meeting in Dayton or by Video
All in-person appointments take place at the Dayton office. Couples and marriage counseling are in person only. Individual men may choose office sessions or secure video anywhere in Ohio. You must be located in Ohio during telehealth appointments.
The Counseling Foundation
Licensed Care and a Biblical Worldview
Josh is an Ohio Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with supervision designation. He uses CBT, EMDR, and psychodynamic counseling together with a biblical worldview. Thoughts and responses, trauma and painful memories, and recurring emotional patterns may be part of the work. Faith is considered alongside clinical methods, practical concerns, and personal responsibility.

A session lasts 55 minutes, with appointments weekly or every other week. The first meeting includes talking through what brought you in, your goals, and faith fit. Practical tools between appointments can connect those conversations to everyday situations. There is nothing special you need to prepare before asking Josh about beginning.
Getting StartedInsurance and the Consultation
Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, and UnitedHealthcare are accepted. Benefits are checked together before your first session because coverage depends on the plan. Private pay is also available. Superbills can be requested for possible out-of-network reimbursement, which is not guaranteed.
The free 15-minute consultation is where fees and coverage questions are addressed.

No. Freedom in Christ Counseling has one office, in Dayton. The towns listed here are areas served, not additional office locations. Couples meet in Dayton in person only.
Who can use telehealth?
Individual men age 18 and up can meet with Josh by secure video while located anywhere in Ohio. Couples counseling is in person at the Dayton office.
