Josh does not have an office in Xenia. In-person appointments take place at the Dayton office, where all couples sessions are held. Individual men may meet in Dayton or choose secure video anywhere in Ohio. You must be located in Ohio during video counseling.

Josh holds an Ohio clinical counseling license with supervision designation. He uses EMDR for trauma and painful memories, CBT to consider thoughts and responses, and psychodynamic counseling to explore recurring emotional patterns. His biblical worldview informs that work. Conversation about faith can remain connected to practical concerns, with no promise about a specific clinical or spiritual result from counseling.
Our ApproachWhat a Session Looks Like
Your first session can begin with the concern that prompted you to reach out. Counseling appointments are 55 minutes and meet weekly or every other week. Goals, faith fit, and the experiences you want to discuss are part of the initial conversation. Concerns about talking through painful material can be discussed too, including the pace of sessions and how you are responding.
Getting StartedInsurance and Payment
A free 15-minute consultation is available before counseling, including discussion of fees and insurance. Josh accepts Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, and UnitedHealthcare. Coverage depends on your plan, so benefits are checked together before the first session. Private pay and requested superbills are available as well.
