Who Telehealth Suits
When the Distance or Schedule Matters
Busy Schedules
A video appointment removes travel time when work and family responsibilities already fill the day.
Distance From Dayton
Individual counseling is available even when an office visit would mean a long trip.
A Private Setting
You can choose a room where the conversation will not be overheard or interrupted.
Pastors and Ministry Leaders
Men serving outside the Dayton area can arrange care away from their congregation’s town.
What You Need
A private room and a stable connection.
Use a phone or computer that supports video, with a stable internet connection. Set aside a room where you can speak freely for the full 55 minutes.
Before the appointment, consider who else may be nearby and whether you can keep interruptions out of the conversation.
Couples Meet at the Office
Telehealth is offered for men’s individual counseling. Marriage and couples sessions are in person only at the Dayton office, with both partners present.
See the Dayton OfficeA Conversation About Your Patterns
A first session addresses what brought you to counseling, your goals, and questions about faith. Ongoing work can connect overthinking, emotional reactions, or compulsive habits with practical responses to try between appointments.
Josh uses CBT to examine thoughts and actions, EMDR for painful memories and trauma, and psychodynamic counseling for recurring emotional patterns. Your Christian beliefs remain part of that clinical conversation.
Coverage and the Consultation
Ask about fees and insurance during the free 15-minute consultation. Accepted insurance depends on your plan, and benefits are checked together before the first session. Private pay is available, with superbills on request for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

Questions Before You Begin
Can I attend from outside Ohio?
You must be physically in Ohio for each telehealth appointment. Being an Ohio resident does not replace the requirement to be in the state during your session.
What can I work on by video?
Men can bring anxiety, depression, anger, compulsive behavior, relationship struggles, or ministry pressure. Josh combines clinical counseling with a biblical worldview.
Is video an option for marriage counseling?
No. Marriage and couples counseling is offered at the Dayton office only. Telehealth appointments are for men meeting individually.
