Christian Marriage and Couples Counseling

Time to address the conversations that turn into conflict and the distance that has grown between you.

What Couples Bring

The same argument. The growing distance.

Couples often come with several concerns connected to one another. An argument about money may also be about trust, responsibility, or feeling unheard.

  • Communication breakdowns
  • Recurring conflict
  • Finances and shared decisions
  • Parenting pressure
  • Emotional distance
  • Intimacy concerns
  • Infidelity and broken trust

How Sessions Work

Both partners in the room.

Sessions include both partners and last 55 minutes. We meet weekly or every other week.

We examine the way a difficult conversation unfolds, what each partner hears, and how each responds. The work can include practicing clearer communication and addressing the concerns beneath repeated conflict.

I bring a biblical view of marriage alongside research-based counseling methods. As an Ohio licensed counselor, I use clinical care to address relationship patterns rather than asking faith to replace that work.

Faith and Relationship Work

Make room for an honest conversation.

A productive conversation needs room for both partners’ concerns. We work on speaking about conflict without overlooking the emotional disconnection or intimacy concerns that may sit beneath it.

Shared faith can inform how you understand marriage, responsibility, and forgiveness. It does not remove the need to listen or address harm.

In Person at the Dayton Office

Couples and marriage sessions meet only in person at 7039 Taylorsville Rd, Suite 13, Dayton, OH 45424. Telehealth is available for men’s individual counseling, not couples sessions.

When Trust Has Been Broken

If an affair or hidden pornography use has come to light, the counseling work includes care for the spouse who was hurt and accountability for the partner who caused harm.
