Signs Your Marriage Could Use Counseling
Freedom in Christ Counseling
Recurring arguments, feeling disconnected, and broken trust are reasons a couple might consider counseling. They are concerns to discuss, not a scored test of your marriage. You do not need to use a label or compare your relationship with someone else’s before asking about clinical counseling that takes your Christian beliefs seriously.
01
When Conversations Keep Returning to Conflict
If the same subject leads to repeated disagreement, name the subject and the way the conversation unfolds. Josh works with couples on communication and conflict. A specific example can be more useful than deciding which partner is the problem. You can discuss what each of you wants to address without claiming that counseling will produce a particular outcome.
02
Disconnection and Betrayal Need Honest Language
Feeling distant from your spouse and recovering from hidden pornography use or an affair are different concerns. Tell Josh what is actually happening rather than softening it into a general communication issue. In betrayal work, accountability, forgiveness as a process, and rebuilding emotional and physical intimacy over time can be discussed. A restored marriage is not promised.

Clinical Care With a Biblical Worldview
Josh Reed, LPCC-S, is a licensed clinical counselor in Ohio with supervision designation. He uses CBT, EMDR, and psychodynamic counseling alongside a biblical worldview. Relationship patterns, thoughts and responses, and painful memories may be part of the clinical conversation. Personal responsibility and grace are considered together without asking either spouse to overlook broken trust.
How Josh Works04
What Couples Sessions Involve
Couples and marriage counseling take place in person at the Dayton office only. Every session lasts 55 minutes, with appointments weekly or every other week. Initial discussion includes what brought you in, your goals, and faith fit. Practical tools between sessions can connect the work to specific conversations rather than leave relationship concerns only inside the office.

Beginning Includes Payment Questions

Coverage depends on the plan and benefits are checked together before your first session. Private pay is also available. Requested superbills may support possible out-of-network reimbursement, but reimbursement is not assured.
