Depression in Men: What It Can Look Like
Freedom in Christ Counseling
Depression counseling at this practice includes low mood, numbness, low energy, loss of interest, and difficulty seeing a sense of purpose. You can describe those concerns without trying to diagnose yourself from an article. Josh works with Christian men on depression and purpose through licensed clinical counseling that also takes questions of faith seriously.
01
Describe What Has Become Difficult
If you want to discuss feeling low or disconnected from things that matter to you, bring that concern in your own words. Low energy and lack of purpose are also areas of Josh’s depression work. This is not a checklist establishing a diagnosis; it is a starting point for describing the experience you want to address.
02
Purpose Can Be Part of the Conversation
A career change, retirement, or uncertainty about a calling can belong alongside questions about low mood. You do not need to determine which concern explains everything before asking about care. Josh works on life transitions and identity in Christ as well as depression, so the discussion can include both emotional concerns and what your current role means to you.

Faith Does Not Replace Clinical Attention
Josh is licensed in Ohio as a Professional Clinical Counselor with supervision designation. He uses CBT, EMDR, and psychodynamic counseling within a biblical worldview. Thoughts and responses, painful memories, and recurring emotional patterns may be considered. Scripture and prayer are included as you want. The work is clinical counseling, not a substitute for medical care or medication advice.
